Cascade is building a no-code data analysis platform, allowing analysts to build with the power of Python without needing to code.
Cascade's mission is to give skilled data analysts the tools they need to express their talent without also needing technical skill. Non-technical data analysts have not gotten a tool upgrade in years — Cascade unlocks their skillset by allowing them to combine data of all kinds and sizes, manipulate and explore datasets, run sophisticated operations and publish the results in a story-like format. Unlike work done in a spreadsheet, analysis in Cascade is repeatable, auditable, deeply collaborative and automatically up-to-date. Data stories live online, ready for others to explore and build on.
Cascade is led by serial entrepreneurs and is backed by First Round Capital, Redpoint, Susa and other top investors.
Cascade is looking to fill its first go-to-market role, an Analytical Customer Engineer. As a collection of tools for data analysts, Cascade provides the building blocks for many types of analysis to occur in an automated, repeatable way. However, those building blocks need to be translated into example models and analysis that is relevant to each customer. That's where an Analytical Customer Engineer comes in, who can understand the needs of a customer, build relevant analysis that demonstrates Cascade's capabilities, then train data analysis on how to use the platform themselves.
